In the spring semester of two thousand seventeen, I attended the academic event called "U-Turn" here at the Colorado State University. At the time, I was struggling in my MATH101 class and needed help on creating an academic plan. I had the privilege of Stephanie Zee being my temporary advisor. She is the special events coordinator for Housing and Dining Services. She recommended I apply to become a desk staff member for residence halls since I was denied from the RA position. Fast forward to present day and I am now a proud employee for Laurel Village. I work anywhere from sixteen to twenty hour hours a week at the Pinon, Alpine, or Pavilion front desk. I have the opportunity to work first hand with residences by solving problems such as room lockouts and roommate conflicts and sorting mail. It isn't the most exciting job in the world but I love the group of people that are involved with Laurel Village. I am beyond thankful for Stephanie and the information she shared with me. Housing and Dining Services is a wonderful group to work for so if you are interested in becoming an employee, please let me know and I will be more than happy to give you further information!
